To Prep for Peel
Before a peel can be performed, a skin analysis/consultation is required. This is so we can go over any questions or concerns you may have proper steps to prep your skin for the Skin Peel program.
After your initial consultation, you will begin home care products for at least one week prior to your first Skin Peel. This will help derive the most benefit from your treatment. If you have a breakout of cold sores or fever blisters on the face before your scheduled appointment, please notify us and we will reschedule your appointment. Avoid sun exposure or sun burning before your scheduled appointment.
With our glycolic and lactic peels, there should only be microscopic flaking. Keep in mind with glycolic or lactic peels it takes a series of peels to achieve desired results. It is important that you always use a sunblock of at least SPF 30. With TCA peels, there usually is some form of flaking. Every client is different so the amount of peeling or flaking one experiences is unique to each. After all peels, it is important to follow ALL given instructions and ensure proper use of the home care products.
